About The Country Dance Map:
This dance map is built in 8 layers which can be toggled on or off by the viewer, with the most important layers being:
In addition, if someone has published useful information for a venue (such as the times for dance lessons, or lists of dances done at a given club), that information is embedded directly in that entry.
This should be viewed as just a starting point for research, though I've tried to verify the information with Facebook or web links.
Also, since I wasn't able to implement this with custom programming, I can only highlight the places I'm personally interested in traveling to (ideally, everyone would be able to save their own list of Favorites).
Corrections, updates, and deletions are welcome and can be submitted via email or the update form!
- Full-Time Country Dancing Nightclubs (US & Canada)
- Country Nights and Dance Schools (US & Canada)
- Dance Events (Workshops or Conventions)

Using The Map
1. The Country Dance Map works best on a desktop computer browser, but should work on mobile devices too either in a browser or via the Google Maps App.
2. But sometimes the Legend doesn’t show up explaining the colors and icons, and showing text listings of all entries in the 8 layers.
Reloading the page can force the legend to display.
3. From the dancefactorial.com web page, you can click in the upper left corner of the embedded Map to show the Legend, and in the upper right corner to see the Map in the full window.
4. Finally, you should be able to click on an entry (either the icon or in the list) and see more information about the venue, including web site and Facebook links, and often dance lesson times and if known links to stepsheet and video lists of the dances they do.
